"The Priscilla" in Navy Blue Pigskin
Our handmade small clutch "The Priscilla" is crafted with pigskin hide in a gorgeous navy blue. The clutch is wrapped in a coordinating latigo lace that enables the bag to be closed and opened easily, while adding the perfect stylish detail. This particular hide is absolutely amazing, with a rich texture and depth of appearance. Measuring 5" X 9", this is the perfect accessory for a night out on the town or brunch with friends. Priscilla personally tests each handbag to ensure it functions well and looks fabulous! You can easily fit your iPhone, lipstick, compact and a small wallet inside.
Although pigskin leather goods seem to be popping up everywhere lately, this leather is a relatively new option for leathercrafters. Recent technological advances in leather skinning now make pigskin available for chrome tanning, and we couldn't be happier to have this wonderful option for our wares. Pigskin is a great material for leather goods because it's tough, flexible, supple and light. What's more - pigskin has the highest tensile rating of all leather (second only to kangaroo), which means your clutch will not only be beautiful, but incredibly durable too.
We make all our leather goods with our own hands, in our log cabin located in Franklin, Tennessee. Each item is carefully designed, hand cut, hand stitched and assembled with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Cleaning Your C&P Pigskin Clutch - Like all leather goods, always test the cleaning product you choose in a small, discrete area to ensure it is appropriate for your item. There should be no discoloration or other negative impact visible on the test spot. After testing, gently apply the cleaner in even strokes, in the same direction, using a soft, clean cloth. Do not excessively rub any one area because this could darken the leather or cause an uneven surface appearance. A second cleaning, moving in the opposite direction, is recommended. Repeat the process, if needed. After cleaning, use a dry, clean cloth to remove any excess cleaning product and allow it to dry in a cool spot that's inside and away from sunlight or direct heat.
Conditioning Your C&P Pigskin Clutch - After cleaning, apply a leather conditioner to restore oils and minerals that may have been lost during cleaning. Failure to condition your item after cleaning could result in the leather drying out and possibly even cracking over time. So, be sure not to skip skip this step important step in the cleaning process. Like the cleaning product you use, be sure to test the conditioning product in a small, hidden area before applying to the entire bag. Apply the conditioner in a same way you applied the cleaning product: start in one direction and apply a second coat in the opposite direction. You can wipe off any excess conditioner with a clean, dry cloth. When not in use, keep your pigskin clutch in the dust bag provided with your C&P purchase.
